Cuando se cumplen quince años desde la aprobación del Real Decreto-Ley 8/2010, de 20 de mayo, que supuso el recorte de las pagas extra de los profesionales, el Foro de la Profesión Médica (FPME) reclama acabar con esta situación discriminatoria y recuperar la paga extra en su totalidad.

Las organizaciones del Foro señalan que ante un contexto económico favorable como el actual resulta difícil comprender que desde el Gobierno y los ministerios implicados -Trabajo, Hacienda, Economía o Administraciones Públicas- no se haya dado aún un paso adelante para acabar con este recorte injusto y reconocer a los trabajadores que sostienen el Sistema Nacional de Salud, con especial entrega en situaciones de crisis extremas como la pandemia por COVID-19, para que dejen de sufrir los recortes de sueldo de esta norma sin precedentes.

Pagas extraordinarias con recortes del 40%

En concreto, los médicos sufren desde hace 15 años un recorte del 38,29% en el importe de las pagas extra. Esto supone una pérdida, en cada una de las pagas, de 508,08 euros en sueldo base y 19,54 euros por cada uno de los trienios que tenga consolidados cada profesional, una situación irregular que propicia que el médico perciba, por estos conceptos, una paga extra menor que la de otros colectivos.

Por este motivo, el Foro considera que 15 años es un plazo suficiente para corregir este agravio y reclama a la Administración que, una vez superada la crisis económica de 2011, subsane de manera inmediata este recorte que se está perpetuando de forma injustificable y que no sólo menoscaba los derechos laborales, sino que también discrimina al colectivo médico respecto al resto de grupos profesionales del Sistema Nacional de Salud.

Por ello, exige que los próximos presupuestos restablezcan el pago íntegro del sueldo base y trienios en las pagas extra de junio y diciembre, cumpliendo con la legalidad vigente y reconociendo la dedicación y responsabilidad de los profesionales médicos.
